With the aim to promote bilateral trade and investment between two countries and to provide UK companies with the information to pursue business opportunities in Myanmar, Myanmar Trade and Investment Conference 2016, organized by Department of International Trade of UK, was held on 28th November, 2016 at Willis Tower Waston in London. The Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Construction H.E U Win Khaing was in attendance to the conference.
At the conference, H.E Mr. Andrew Patrick , British Ambassador to Myanmar, delivered the welcome remark and Mr. Mark Garnier MP , Minister for International Trade explained matter on " The UK & Myanmar – Partnering together for the 21st Century ".
At the occasion, H.E U Win Khaing explained matter relating to the topic " Myanmar Today and Opportunities Tomorrow " . Then, Secretary of Myanmar Investment Commission and Director General for Directorate of Investment and Company Administration U Aung Naing Oo, Secretary for UMFCCI Daw Khine Khine Nwe and Managing Director of YGA Capital Ltd. U Thura Ko Ko participated as panelist in the session on " Opening Doors to Myanmar ".
The conference was attended by representatives from Department of International Trade of UK, over (70) businessmen from Myanmar and over (170) businessmen from UK.
