The Task Force Consultation and Dialogue on Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) was held at Wyndham Grand Hotel Yangon on 3rd December 2019 with the collaboration of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
At the seminar, U Min Zaw Oo, Deputy Director General for the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration and Ms. Coralie Martin, Policy Analyst from OECD delivered opening remarks, followed by the presentation of the preliminary findings from the draft chapter on RBC by Ms. Coralie Martin. Then Ms. Nareeluc Paichaiyapoom, Ministry of Justice from Thailand shared experiences of Thailand on RBC and Mr. Sean Lees from UNDP presented on “Example of National Action Plans” through video conferencing. After that, Ms. Coralie Martin discussed on “Implementing Due Diligence for RBC” and the participants discussed upon the presentations.
The seminar was attended by about 30 representatives including expert from OECD, representatives from relevant ministries and UMFCCI and officials from DICA and it was concluded at 14:00 pm.
