U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Companies Administration (DICA) under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER) who attended the meetings on GCC-ASEAN Economic and Investment Conference on 28 May 2024 at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Conference aims to further develop the strategic partnership between GCC-ASEAN countries and also promoting the areas of cooperation in economic areas such as trade and investment.
The matters on economics, investment, trade and partnership, energy, agriculture and food security, tourism and quality of life, smart cities and Technology were discussed between GCC and ASEAN countries. High-level senior officials from GCC and ASEAN countries and international businessmen attended the conference.
In addition, the Director General met with the Myanmar Ambassador to Saudi Arabia on May 27 and discussed investment issues in a friendly and open manner. Then, he also attended a dinner hosted by the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, at the invitation of the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia, he attended the GCC-Central Asia Investment Forum as an observer on May 29. The sectors of Infrastructure and Development, mining and metals, renewable & clean energy and Agriculture & Food Security were discussed in the forum.
