The Delegation led by U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Companies Administration (DICA) under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER) who attended the meeting on Kunming Lancang- Mekong Regional Trade and Cultural Cooperation Exchange Seminar on 28 July to 1 August 2024 at Kunming, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China.
The Seminar aims to leverage Yunnan Province’s geographical advantage as a gateway and bridge connecting China to Southeast Asia, to promote trade, economic, cultural exchange and cooperation in the Lancang- Mekong region, and to support Yunnan’s development as a gateway to South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Director General delivered a speech the matters on new technological industries such as the internet, digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, cultural media, think tanks, trade and investment in the seminar. Representatives from China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand attended the seminar.
In addition, the delegation led by Director General will join the group discussion with the representatives from other countries on 30th July 2024 and visit to high-tech enterprises and research institutions on 31st July 2024 in Kunming.
