Directorate of Investment and Company Administration -DICA has successfully compiled the Foreign Direct Investment - FDI statistics for Myanmar in recent years.
We are pleased to inform you that DICA plans to conduct this year’s annual Foreign Direct Investment Survey (FDIS) survey for FDI information of year 2023.The companies registered at DICA have a commitment to provide the statistics data to DICA as per the Statistics Law (2018) and the Myanmar Investment Law (2016).
DICA would like to request FDI companies which had already participated in our previous surveys held from 2017 to 2022 to join this year survey.
In this context, we are currently planning an information workshop for companies which never participated in the previous surveys to give an understanding of the questionnaire form prior to the launch of this year’s annual survey, with the participation of a representative of your company, preferably the Financial Controller / Chief Accountant/ Financial Accountant. The FDIS Survey Information Workshop will be held on April 3-4, 2024 in DICA Head office. The official from DICA’s staff and local financial expert will conducting the awareness workshop for the participants with the assistance of DICA officials.
For those companies which had never participated in the previous surveys, we will also post a video clip on FDI for understanding of the questionnaire forms and survey guideline presented by Mr. Amila Wijayawardhana, International Monetary Fund -IMF Expert and it will help FDI companies to fill the Survey forms.
Electronic version of the survey forms will also be sent to you and will also be available in the DICA website to be downloaded. We would highly appreciate if you could also submit this year’s FDI data of your company, preferably in Microsoft Excel format.
The deadline for the survey is 10th May, 2024, and we would highly appreciate if you can send us the completed survey forms at your earliest convenience prior to the deadline.
