Today, the opening ceremony of the Mandalay International Trade Fair and Investment Forum 2023 was held at the Mandalay Convention Centre, Mandalay. The forum aims to identify business opportunities in Mandalay and encourage local micro, small, and medium enterprises through business matching with foreign companies.
Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw, Union Minister for Commerce, U Tun Ong, Chief Minister of Mandalay Region Government U Myo Aung, ministers and officials from Mandalay Region Government, Ambassadors and representatives from the Embassies of Myanmar, representatives from the UMFCCI, MRCCI, Yunnan, representatives from the Dehong Chamber of Commerce of Yunnan Province, officials from the relevant departments and associations, businessmen and visitors attended at the event.
In the forum, Union Ministers, Chief minister of Regional Government and officials opened the ribbon cutting, visited the exhibitions, delivered the speeches and the continue to sign memorandums of understanding for economic investment in Mandalay Region.
In the afternoon, the briefings and discussions on trade and investment continued and U Min Zaw Oo, Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Companies Administration discussed the topic on "A guide to Myanmar Investment Landscape" with a powerpoint presentation.
After that, U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of the Department of Investment and Companies Administration participated as a panellist in the discussion on "Myanmar's Investment Opportunities and Agriculture Sector" and the investment and opportunities, Investment facilitation related the agricultural investment were discussed extensively.
Mandalay International Trade Fair & Investment Forum 2023 will be held from December 20 to 22.
