The 3rd Meeting of the task force on OECD Investment Policy Reviews of Myanmar was held at Hilton Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw on 15 November 2019 with the collaboration of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
At the meeting, U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General for the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration and Mr. Stephen Thomsen, head of Investment Policy Reviews form OECD delivered opening remarks, followed by the presentations from OECD with the titles “Investment Policy” by Mr. Stephen Thomsen and “Special FDI qualities: examining the Impact of FDI” by Ms. Iris Mantovani. After that, the presentation from OECD continued a topic on “ Infrastructure Connectivity” and “ Fostering Secure and Well-defined Land Rights” by Mr. Fernando Mistura, Policy Analyst of Investment Policy Reviews form OECD and “Investment Framework for Green Growth” by Ms. Naeeda Crishna .The taskforce members discussed upon OECD’s Presentations and the next steps.
The meeting was attended by about 30 representatives including experts from OECD, representatives from relevant ministries, officials from DICA and representatives from UMFCCI and Green Economy Green Growth. The meeting was concluded at 12:30 pm.
