Field Inspection by Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team

 Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team conducted a field inspection of manufacturing enterprises engaged in the production of garments and cotton yarn on a CMP basis on 15th July 2025. The inspection included businesses operating under the Yangon Region Investment Committee’s endorsement for commercial operations, manufacturers of cotton yarn for both CMP export and local CMP enterprises, and garment factories located in Thanlyin and Dagon Myothit (East) Townships.  The team assessed the operational status of the businesses, reviewed investor compliance with regulatory responsibilities and coordinated the needs of the factory.

Magway Region Investment Monitoring Team conducted a ground field inspection on manufacturing, grinding and marketing of beans and oilseeds at Magway Township, Magway Region on 12th July, 2025. The team met representatives of the company and coordinated the requirements of the project.

Tanintharyi Region Investment Committee (TRIC) held (3/2025) Meeting

The Tanintharyi Region Investment Committee (TRIC) meeting 3/2025 was held on 8th July 2025 at the Tanintharyi Region Government Office, Dawei. U Myat Ko, Chairman of Tanintharyi Region Investment Committee and Chief Minister of Tanintharyi Region Government, along with members of the Committee and special invitees from related departments, attended the meeting.At the Meeting, Chairman and Committee members approved for the Service on drying of Konjac chips of the Tanintharyi Wa Min Co., Ltd. with the  100 % Myanmar Citizen Investment, the Amendment on Endorsement the operation of Petro & Trans Co., Ltd. of the Power Generating and Distribution in Dawei District and Myeik Township and has approved the extension of the construction period of Myanmar Beach Hotel Co., Ltd.   which is carrying out    hotel   services and discussed generally with representative from relevant departments.T-1Download

COMPANY REGISTRATION

Registration is the first step a businessperson will be required to take before incorporating a company or making an investment in Myanmar, whether that person is a citizen of Myanmar or a foreigner. In accordance with the Myanmar Companies Law 2017, a company may be registered in one of the following forms:

  • As a private OR public company by Myanmar citizens
  • As a foreign company OR branch of a foreign company
  • As a joint venture company
  • As an association/nonprofit organization

INVESTMENT APPLICATION

The Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) is responsible for verifying and approving investment proposals and regularly issues notifications about sector-specific developments. The MIC is comprised of representatives and experts from government ministries, departments and governmental and non-governmental bodies.


PROCESS
Use the DICA website to retrieve information on requirements for your MIC permit application.
First, investors must first submit a proposal to the Myanmar Investment Commission.
If the proposal meets the criteria, it will be accepted within 15 days.
If accepted, the MIC will review the proposal and reach a decision within 60 days.
