Magway Region Investment Committee Meeting (5/2025) was held

The Magway Region Investment Committee Meeting (5/2025) was held at Magway Region Government Office on  May, 2025. The meeting was chaired by U Tint Lwin, Chairman of the Magway Region Investment Committee and Chief Minister for Magway Region Government, and the committee members attended in to it. At the meeting, the committee members discussed to endorse Myanmar citizen investment in manufacturing sector. The total value of that investment was 5904.950 million Kyats including US$ 1.780 Million, and it would be created 101 local job opportunities. The committee members discussed then on the matter of the field inspections conducted by the Magway Region Investment Monitoring Team.

Field Inspection By Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team

Yangon Region Investment Monitoring Team conducted a field inspection on production and distribution of agricultural machinery (trollergy) for the commencement of commercial operation under Yangon region investment committee endorsement, the manufacturing of wearing apparel on CMP basis companies which are applying a proposal for the endorsement at West Hlaing Thar Yar Township and East Hlaing Thar Yar Township in Yangon Region on 27th May, 2025. The team inspected operating condition of businesses, implementing condition of the responsibilities of investors and coordinated the needs of the factory.

2/2025 Tanintharyi Region Investment Committee (TRIC) Meeting

The Tanintharyi Region Investment Committee (TRIC) Meeting 2/2025 was held on 26th May 2025 at the Tanintharyi Region Government Office in Dawei. U Myat Ko, Chairman of the Tanintharyi Region Investment Committee and Chief Minister of the Tanintharyi Region Government, along with members of the Committee and special invitees from related departments, attended the meeting.At the meeting, the Chairman and Committee members approved the amendment to the endorsement for the operation of Petro & Trans Co., Ltd. for power generation and distribution in Dawei District and Myeik Township. They also approved the extension of the construction period for the investment project of Kento Trading Co., Ltd. for hotel and related services, and held general discussions with representatives from relevant departments.

Registration is the first step a businessperson will be required to take before incorporating a company or making an investment in Myanmar, whether that person is a citizen of Myanmar or a foreigner. In accordance with the Myanmar Companies Law 2017, a company may be registered in one of the following forms:

INVESTMENT APPLICATION

The Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) is responsible for verifying and approving investment proposals and regularly issues notifications about sector-specific developments. The MIC is comprised of representatives and experts from government ministries, departments and governmental and non-governmental bodies.


PROCESS
Use the DICA website to retrieve information on requirements for your MIC permit application.
First, investors must first submit a proposal to the Myanmar Investment Commission.
If the proposal meets the criteria, it will be accepted within 15 days.
If accepted, the MIC will review the proposal and reach a decision within 60 days.
