SUSTAIN THE COUNTRY'S DEVELOPMENTThe sixth meeting of the Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) was held yesterday after noon in Nay Pyi Taw. Union Minister U Mya Tun Oo, who is also Chairman of the commission, and members of the commission attended the meeting.The meeting approved five new foreign investments from the capital increase of six on going investments and nine new local investment projects in the Industry, hotel, tourism and service sectors. The investment amount of these businesses in US$ 57.295 million and K 45502.978 million, which can create, 4119 jog opportunities.These businesses included the EV motorcycle and automobile assembly industry, education services, food processing and the garment industry.As of the end of November 2025, among the 53 foreign countries, Singapore, China, and Thailand are the leading countries with the largest foreign investments in the country. Of 12 sectors, the electricity sector accounts for 28.28 per cent by drawing the most significant investments followed by the oil and natural gas sector at 24.65 per cent and the manufacturing sector at 14.6 per cent.The Myanmar Investment Commission oversees and approves investment project proposals from locals and overseas, and provides services to the existing investors under the Myanmar Investment Law.
POSTED ON 09 Dec 2025Magway Region Investment Monitoring Team conducted field inspection to the two projects of hotel services at Magway Township on 3rd December, 2025. The team met representatives of the companies and coordinated the requirements of the projects.
POSTED ON 05 Dec 2025The Magway Region Investment Committee Meeting (10/2025) was held at Magway Region Government Office on November, 2025. The meeting was chaired by U Tint Lwin, Chairman of the Magway Region Investment Committee and Chief Minister for Magway Region Government, and the committee members attended in to it. At the meeting, the committee members discussed on the matter of expension of the location and increasement of capital of a Myanmar citizen investment and the field inspection conducted by the Magway Region Investment Monitoring Team.

The Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) is responsible for verifying and approving investment proposals and regularly issues notifications about sector-specific developments. The MIC is comprised of representatives and experts from government ministries, departments and governmental and non-governmental bodies.
