In order to understand the concepts of FDI and to facilitate in filling the survey questionnaire form, an information Workshop on Foreign Direct Investment Survey for Year 2024 was conducted at the head office of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, on 7th April 2025.At the event, U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration delivered the opening speech and the responsible staff of the Planning and Statistics Division explained the concepts, definitions and methodologies of FDIS data compilation and previous experiences. Furthermore, Financial Experts of the Zeya & Associates Co., Ltd. demonstrated how to fill the data in the Survey Questionnaire Forms.The workshop will be conducted from 7th April to 8th April 2025 and about 150 participants (General Managers, Financial Controllers, Chief Accountants and Accountants) from 80 foreign companies which are registered at DICA attended at the two-day workshop.The data compilation of the FDI survey will be accumulated both from the previous participated 150 companies and altogether 250 FDI companies will be collected in May 2025 and the Survey result will be published in June 2025.

In this regard, DICA has successfully compiled the FDI statistics for Myanmar in recent years.We are pleased to inform you that DICA plans to conduct this year’s annual FDIS survey for FDI information of year 2024. The companies registered with DICA have a commitment to provide the statistics data to DICA as per the Statistics Law (2018) and the Myanmar Investment Law (2016).In this context, we are currently planning an information workshop for companies which never participated in the previous surveys to give an understanding of the questionnaire form prior to the launch of this year’s annual survey, with the participation of a representative of your company, preferably the Financial Controller / Chief Accountant / Financial Accountant.For companies that have already participated in our previous years’ survey. Pleased be informed that we are planning to conduct our next FDIS survey for 2024 and would like to request your company to fill the survey form for 2024. An electronic version of the survey form will also be sent to you and will also be available in the DICA website to be downloaded.
