Under the guidance of the Shan State Investment Committee, a dialogue session for the development of the MSMEs sector in Shan State was held at the office of Southern Shan State Chamber of Commerce and Industries on 27th October 2022.
At the dialogue, Dr. Kyaw Tun, the Chairman of the Shan State Investment Committee delivered the opening speech. After that, the Director for the Shan State office of Directorate of Investment and Company Administration clarified the investment opportunities according to the Myanmar Investment Law and the Director for the Shan State office of Small Scale Industries Department also explained the relevant law, rules and procedures. Moreover, acting Director for the Shan State office of Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection explained the processes of implementation for development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
Furthermore, the representatives at the dialogue discussed the barriers for the development of MSMEs and made recommendations to overcome the aforementioned barriers.
