Nay Pyi Taw’s Investment and Export Promotion Seminar was held on 26th February

With the aim of promoting investment and exports in Naypyitaw to support the nation’s economic development, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and the Naypyitaw Council Investment Committee (NCIC) jointly held Naypyitaw’s Investment and Export Promotion Seminar at Zabuthiri Hall in Naypyitaw Council on 26th February 2025.

The seminar was attended by the Chairman and members of the Naypyitaw Council, the Deputy Mayor of the Naypyitaw Development Committee, the Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, the Vice-Chairman of UMFCCI, members of NCIC, officials from regional departments, and high-level representatives and businessmen from private sectors such as UMFCCI, MRF, Naypyitaw CCI, MSMEs, totaling 130 people who actively participated and discussed.

During the event, Naypyitaw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo delivered an opening speech. Then, U Thant Sin Lwin, the Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, delivered a speech about the endeavors the department is undertaking for investment promotion, facilitation, and supervision.

Afterward, Daw Yin Yin Nwe, Secretary of the Naypyitaw Council Investment Committee, explained the benefits of the Myanmar Investment Law, as well as the investment potential and prospects of Naypyitaw. Then, the Director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation, Daw Thida Chaw Hlaing, presented information about the export regulations of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) that must be followed when exporting Myanmar agricultural products to China. The Vice President of the Federation of Myanmar Chambers of Commerce and Industry, U Ye Min Aung, also shared his broader view on increasing investment in the domestic edible oil production sector. The participants discussed and asked interesting questions.
