SEMINAR ON STRONG DICA-JICA COOPERATION

The strong partnership between the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was confirmed with a seminar held at DICA on 22 March, 2017.

The DICA-JICA Cooperation Seminar heard a presentation by U San Myint, DICA Deputy Director General (Operation), who reported on a study tour to Vietnam in August 2016.

Seminar participants, who included DICA Deputy Director Generals, Directors, Deputy Directors, officials and staff, then heard a presentation from JICA adviser, Mr Toru Homma.

Mr Homma, who has completed his assignment at DICA after three years, reported on the strong cooperation between JICA and DICA over the past three years and commented on the future relationship and opportunities for further cooperation.

After the presentations, the official handover of the Shan State Investment Fair Survey Report, a publication jointly produced by JICA and Myanmar Marketing Research and Development which looked at investment and trade opportunities in Shan State, was held.
