OBSERVING DIALOGUE WITH MIFER

In order to enhance the investment promotion of India investment in Myanmar, Dialogue with Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER) was held on 28th September, 2019 at Pan Pacific Hotel, Yangon.

The event was organized by the Embassy of India and India-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce (IMCC) and was attended by 50 participants notably U Aung Naing Oo, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER), Mr. Saurabh Kumar, Ambassador of India to Myanmar, Mr. Sunil Seth, President of IMCC and Dr.Maung Maung Lay, Vice President of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI).

Firstly, the event was graced by Mr. Sunil Seth, President of IMCC, Mr. Saurabh Kumar, the Ambassador of India to Myanmar. Then, U Aung Naing Oo, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER) delivered the remark about the investment reform, present situation and future plans of MIFER.

In addition, Dr.Maung Maung Lay, Vice President of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) discussed the cooperation between UMFCCI and IMCCI. Finally, the Permanent Secretary and the Ambassador responded all the questions that were raised by Indian Investors.
