CONDUCTING THE WORKSHOP ON STANDARD OPERATION PROCEDURE (SOP) FOR STATE AND REGION INVESTMENT ENDORSEMENT

The Workshop on Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for State and Region Investment Endorsement was held at Sule Shangrila Hotel, Yangon on 26th September 2019 with the collaboration of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

The workshop was conducted aiming to consistent with the Myanmar Investment law, to harmonize the endorsement approval process among the State & Region offices and to standardize the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for the State and Region Investment Endorsement.

It was attended by about (50) participants including the officials from the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, representatives from International Finance Corporation (IFC).

At the workshop, U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration for the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and U Thitsar, Private Sector Specialist of the International Finance Corporation delivered the opening remarks respectively.

         After that, Dr. Sufian Jusoh, Investment Legal Specialist, IFC presented on the title namely “Current Procedure of Issuing Endorsement, Recommendation and International Practices”.  The participants did the exercises concerning with the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP). The workshop was concluded at (6:00) pm.
