TRAINING ON EFFECTIVE AFTERCARE SERVICES STRATEGIES AND INVESTMENT AGREEMENTS

The training on Effective Aftercare Services Strategies  and Investment Agreements is being held at the Wyndham Grand Hotel, Yangon from 30th to 31th January  2020 with the financial assistance of ASEAN Japan Center (AJC) as ASEAN National Activity for FY 2019 and technical assistance of International Financial Corporation ,World Bank Group. The training was intended to motivate DICA officials to access and earn knowledge on systematic operation of investment aftercare services and the importance of investment agreements and raise awareness on the disputes arisen from those agreements.

          At the training, U Thant Sin Lwin , Director General , Directorate of Investment and Company Administration and Mr Thitsar, Private Sector Specialist, Finance, Competitiveness & Innovation of World Bank Group ,  made the opening remarks and it is discussed the basic concepts of International Investment Agreements (IIAs) , Negotiation, Interpretation , Dispute Settlement and  ways to handle aftercare services.

          The training was attended (60) officials of  Head office , State and Region office of  Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, investment related departments from One Stop Service. They all shared knowledge, experiences and open discussion through the training.
