SOCIAL IMPACT OF INVESTMENTS IN MYANMAR
The effect of investments on communities was explored at the AVPN Myanmar Social Impact Forum 2017 in Yangon on 28 February 2017.
The forum, organised by the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) at Chatrium Hotel, discussed the impact of business investment, strategic grant making, and social enterprises in Myanmar.
U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of Directorate of Investment and Company Administration participated in a panel discussion that explored the potential for creating positive social impact in Myanmar.
The forum included three other panel sessions that: highlighted local social investment success stories; reviewed social investment in energy initiatives, and examined the issue of micro-finance and impact investment.
