WORKSHOP ON INVESTMENT POLICY, LAW AND REGULATIONS TO THE MINISTRIES

The Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), with the support of International Finance Corporation (IFC), Australian Aid and UKaid, held a workshop on investment policy, law and regulations for all ministries at the Kempinski Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on 2nd August 2017. A total of 70 representatives including U Set Aung, Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Planning and Finance, U Aung Naing Oo, Secretary of Myanmar Investment Commission and the Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and Focal Contact Persons from the ministries attended the workshop.

At the workshop, U Set Aung gave the opening speech and U Aung Naing Oo gave a presentation on the Myanmar Investment Law. U Thant Sin Lwin, Deputy Director General of the DICA and Daw Tin Aye Han, Director of the   DICA gave a presentation on the procedures and compliance related to investment issues and the Myanmar Investment Rules. These presentations were followed by open discussions and U Aung Naing Oo gave the closing speech. The workshop was concluded at 12:30 pm.
